Description of Species Deciduous trees, to 12 m high; bark smooth, grey; young parts tomentose. Leaves alternate, broadly ovate to orbicular, 8-15 x 6-11 cm, acute, dentate or serrate, sometimes palmately lobed, scabrid above, tomentose beneath, base truncate, 3-nerved; lateral nerves 6-8 pairs; petioles 1.2-2.6 cm long, pubescent; stipules ovate, acute. Fig stalked, usually solitary, axillary subglobose or pyriform, 0.7-2 cm across, purple-blue when ripe. Leaf Details Leaves alternate, broadly ovate to orbicular, acute, dentate or serrate, sometimes palmately lobed, scabrid above, tomentose beneath, base truncate, 3-nerved; stipules ovate, acute.
