Description of Species | Deciduous trees, upto 25 m high. bark thick, dark – brown, young parts rusty pubescent. Leaves subopposite, distant, oblong – ovate or elliptic – ovate, 8 – 25 × 2 – 5 cm, base unequal, rounded or subacute, tip acute. Lateral nerves arcuate, prominent, with glands at its apex. Flowers pale – white, 1.5 – 3 mm long, scented, sessile, on terminal, pubescent, panicled – spikes. Calyx lobes covered with brown woolly hairs inside.
