Description of Species Deciduous trees up to 10 m high. Leaves 2 (3) pinnate, 20 – 30 cm long, leaflets 3 – 11, subopposite, ovate lanceolate, 1.5 – 4.5 cm long, acuminate. Flowers lilac – blue, sweet scented, in branched clusters of loose panicles. Calyx 5 – fid, oblong – lanceolate. Petals shortly ciliate, linear to spathulate. staminal column ca 5 – 6 mm long, purple. Ovary 5 – celled, glabrous.
