Description of Species | An evergreen shrub. Bark smooth become rugged with age. Leaves simple, alternate, glossy, stipulate, polymorphic, fiddle shaped, or three sharp pointed lobes, cordate, at the base with 3-4 glandular teeth on each side near the base, smooth dark green above, pale or purplish tinged below. Flowers in terminal corymbose, monoecious or dioecious; Male flowers: calyx cup-shaped, lobes 5, oblong, Carolla red-pinkish obovate, oblanceolate to spathulate; anthers sagittate; disc lobes 5, glandular, ovate to orbicular.
