Description of Species An erect to scandent or trailing, evergreen shrub, up to 3 m tall. Leaves elliptic-ovate to obovate, opposite, entire, petiolate and subcoriaceous. Flowers white, in axillary, trichotomous cymes, bracts minute, linear; calyx cupular, minutely 5-toothed, persistent and slightly broader than the base of corolla-tube; corolla-tube glabrous; lobes ovate, obscurely crenulate, obtuse. Stamen filaments pubescent, dark violet or purple, much exserted, curved above. Fruit a drupe pear-shaped, 4-lobed, glabrous, enclosed by the persistent calyx, green. Leaf Details Leaves elliptic-ovate to obovate, opposite, entire, petiolate and subcoriaceous.
