Description of Species |
Erect shrub up to 2 m tall, glabrous. Branches green, angular. Leaves alternate, variable in size, leaflets up to 7, coriaceous, dark green above, elliptic, ovate, or lanceolate, acute or obtuse, terminal sometimes larger than lateral. Flowers in terminal corymbose cymes; Bracts linear, minute. Calyx with short teeth; corolla yellow, lobes 5, broadly ovate-obtuse or round, reflexed when the flower is open. Fruit a berry simple or didymous, globular-ellipsoid, black when ripe, full of crimson juice. |
