Bushy parasitic undershrubs. Leaves leathery, ovate-lanceolate to elliptic or spathulate, base rounded, tip obtuse or rounded. Flowers in second racemes, often clustered in the axil of fallen leaves; bracts orbicular, cupulus (calyculus) l with truncate mouth. Perianth bright red,
