Description of Species Deciduous trees, to 12 m high. Leaves ovate – lanceolate, 5 – 5 – 15 x 4 – 7 cm, acuminate, base rounded with prominent nerves, margins serrate, stellately hairy ob both surfaces,. Flowers in axillary or leaf opposed cymes, 1 – 8 together; pedicel to 2 cm long. Sepals about 1 cm long, tomentose. Petals pale – white, ovate. Stamens many. Drupes 1 – 4 lobed, blue – black when ripe, 5 – 10 mm across, 2 – 4 lobed.
