Description of Species Evergreen, spreading trees, to 35 m high; with numerous aerial roots; bark grayish-white, smooth; young parts softly pubescent. Leaves alternate, ovate-elliptic, 10-18 x 5-12 cm, base rounded or subcordate, entire, obtuse, leathery; basal neraves 5-7; petioles 1-3.5 cm long. Figs. subsessile, globose, silky pubescent, 1.2-1.6 cm across, purplish-red when ripe. Basal bracts suborbicular, coriaceous.
