Description of Species |
Tree up to 35 metres, bark hard, fibrous, furrowed with pendulous branches. Leaves arranged alternate, lanceolate. Flowers are in scarlet spikes 4-10cm long, producing persistent woody capsules. Fruits are 5-6 mm in diameter and the seed is held for a few seasons. |
